Frik-n-Frak's Curio Shack features several different types of
Metal Puzzles. Each of our metal puzzles is designed to provide you and your family with hours of entertainment, amusement, and mental stimulation.
Metal puzzles are every bit as much FUN as they are educational!Perhaps the
most popular metal puzzles we offer are the
Tavern Puzzles manufactured by the
folks at Tucker-Jones House, Inc. in East Setauket, NY.

Dennis Sulcisky,
owner and museum-trained blacksmith, began creating these
metal puzzles in 1980. Today the company offers 28 different metal
puzzles ranging in difficulty level from "basic" to "complex."
Some of the metal puzzles offered by the Tucker-Jones House
are century old designs traditionally forged by blacksmiths to amuse their
friends at taverns and inns. There are also original designs which are
destined to become the metal puzzles studied by future artists.
All of the metal puzzles in the Tavern Puzzle Collection
are handcrafted and mechanical in nature; removal of the object piece does
not rely on force or trickery. |
Wire Puzzles
are another fun and fascinating class of metal puzzles. These metal puzzles are
lighter and thinner than the wrought iron Tavern Puzzles, yet present an equal
challenge to even seasoned puzzlers!
Typically, these wire metal
puzzles consist of two or more entangled pieces. The object is always to solve
the puzzle by disentangling the metal puzzle pieces without bending, cutting, or
otherwise destroying the metal puzzle. These challenging puzzles have
been entertaining people of all ages for many, many years!

Frik-n-Frak's Curio Shack offers

difficult! All of these lightweight classic and original metal puzzles are
handmade, brazed, and polished with pride by the good folks at
Fiddl' Widdit in Bodega Bay, CA.

Some of the metal
puzzles in the Fiddl' Widdit line are Wire-and-String puzzles! These
closed loop string puzzles require the puzzler to disentangle the string or
rope from the metal puzzle assembly without force and without damaging the
string or the metal puzzle. Based on classic designs, these metal
puzzles continue to be among the most popular offered at Frik-n-Frak's! |
