Shipper's Dilemma Y For those of you that have mastered our regular Shipper's Dilemma, here's your next challenge! This Shipper's Dilemma-Y puzzle (and the Shipper's Dilemma Z) are related, and are what we would consider to be very difficult puzzles! The object is to make a perfect cube from the 25 "Y" shaped wooden puzzle pieces. This puzzle was invented by David Klarner and was published in the Journal of Recreational Mathematics in 1970. Originally, it was thought that there was only 236 ways to get all the pieces back into the pretty wooden box. Computer analysis later showed that there are over 1200 ways! Good luck finding even one! In addition to the cube, we offer suggestions for making different sized rectangles from 10, 12, 16 and 20 of the wooden puzzle pieces. A sheet is provided that offers hundreds of shapes to make! Object: Empty and Re pack the case with all of the wooden puzzle pieces. Difficulty: Very Difficult
